severing my craigslist umbilical cord

I just got back from lunch with my soon-to-be roommate, Stephen. We met up right outside Madison Square Garden where he works in the McGraw-Long offices … wow, what can I say. It was fucking MSG!!!!! Soon, very soon, I will be walking through those doors to witness my first MSG basketball game. I will not leave with dry panties!

In case you couldn’t figure out from the clues I dropped in this entry’s title and first paragraph, yes, I have accepted a room in a Brooklyn apartment. There are four bedrooms, a living room and a bathroom and I’m in the largest room with two windows. I have two roommates, Stephen and Alex, who are really nice guys. We will be “auditioning” people for the fourth room tonight as well. But the absolute coolest thing about the place, besides the fact that it saves me the trouble of having to sleep on the streets, is that we are on the top floor with roof access. The view is incredible … I can’t put it into words. When I move in on the 1st, I will definitely take some pictures up there to show you what I mean. Seriously, we’re the tallest building around with a beautiful view of NYC … again, I’ll show you later.

I went to celebrate my news by stopping at the Gamestop store located near my current apartment to pick up my reserved copy of NBA 2k7. Unfortunately, I thought it was coming out today, when really it is being shipped today. This means one more day of depressing, non-basketball video gameness :(. I shall somehow get through this crisis, though!

Super news and the new place sounds great. Especially the rooftop access. What’s the address?
