old shit wins the awards

This weekend, the third episode of the Lord of the Rings trilogy won 11 oscars – every single category they were nominated in. Now, come on. I haven’t seen the movie but everyone else has and said it was ok, but not that great. The reason it won all of those awards was the same reason all Emmy winners are old has-been bands: they win for their older stuff. In similar fashion, I have just added my older stuff to the page. Check out the Older Versions page to see all of the veteran versions of this page that won all of my accolades.

THREE YEARS LATER: [stanus.net] hadn’t been rolled out live, yet, and I was still trying to find my blogging voice. 2 out of the first 4 real blogs (starting with #3, as #1 and #2 were just tests, really) are rants against things I was disappointed with, and it seemed that my blog was going to go in this direction at first. Maybe not the greatest of starts. Still, this post clearly shows that one of the reasons I chose to start a blog – to keep me interested in working on websites – seemed like it was going to work. I was already showcasing all my old work in this entry.
