BEST: Tossed From a Bar - 09/15/08
The day after the events described in this post found me extremely hung over, somewhat still intoxicated and embarassed but nothing could stop me from writing down one of the most exciting stories of the year! It was such a surreal experience that less than 24 hours after getting thrown out of a beer pong bar, my brain was already starting to dump it into the "fantasy" category and details started to drift from memory. It seemed now like the night was just a movie I watched. Months later this night seems even less real ... but re-reading this gem brings all those weird feelings back up. A great blog!

                         

RUNNER-UP: Guitarted - 05/24/08
I have to admit that I love doing these types of posts. In 2007, I wrote a research project covering all of the amplifiers I ever owned in my music playing career and really enjoyed the experience. So, when I finally purchased a new electric guitar I jumped at the chance to take a similar walk down memory lane, this time exploring all of my axes. These sorts of blogs are such an engrossing, grab bag of entertainment: complete with jokes, stories, pictures, dates, and a shitload of details. They seem to just be chock full of enjoyment and "Guitarted" is no different.

WORST: I'm A Balla' ... Shotcalla', Brawla - 06/23/08
I really dislike everything about this blog: the title is too long and looks fucked up with all of the crazy punctuation, there's little to no information presented in the post, it's not entertainingly written, and the embedded Seinfeld video (while funny) isn't even the one I was looking for. Hell, I'm not even all that fond of the Photoshop job I did for the Dirk picture. Every now and then I'll go through a blog lull - completely uninspired about writing anything - but still force myself to publish something in hopes that any activity will produce some kind of motivation. Sometimes I think that decision isn't always in my best interest.

                         

RUNNER-UP: Baller in Charge - 04/03/08
At some point even my site (which usually discusses music, video games and basketball) fell under the spell that was the 2008 Presidential election. I let all of the drama, history and politics go to my head so much that I thought this turd would actually be interesting. Sure, this post is way too short and yet still boring but what really made this one of the worst blogs of 2008 was the fact that it's little more than a link to another article. Frankly, I'm very dissappointed that this post exists. An empty post that just redirects the reader to something else goes against everything [stanus.butt] believes in!
